When I check for available Bios updates on the HP Customer support web site for my HP Envy All-in-one 27-b111nb (. When I now check for available updates in HP support asistant, the Bios update no longer appears, even though the action log does not indicate a successful Bios update installation for today. Question 1: So why does my HP Support Assistant propose a Bios that is outdated and incompatible with my PC? When the 'American Megatrends HP Bios Updates and Recovery ' pop-up wizard (?) appears, the 'update' option is whited out with a message ' This is an older version of Bios which is not compatible with your system configuration'. I tried five times to install it, following all the instructions religiously, but each time the action log in HP Support Assistant indicates 'installation failed'. Today it proposed 'HP consumer desktop pc bios update (rom family ssid 82fd), softpaq no sp86700 version f.25'. I regularly check my HP support assistant for updates, and always update what it proposes.
